“Thank you Shawn. The scene is one of the 5 best I’ve ever done, in concert with a director. I believe the best scene I’ve ever done in concert with a director is the Tommy Lee Jones walk and talk that stars the prison act of “Natural Born Killers,” directed by Oliver Stone. The second best scene, I believe I’ve ever done is in Mallory Knox’s prison cell opposite Juliette Lewis, also with Oliver Stone directing. And now the torture scene in “Narco Sub,” Shawn S. Welling director. If I could act 365 days a year, I’d wave my turnaround every time. It’s always a gift, this work I do. And the people I do it with are my brothers and sisters against the inevitable darkness that’s always “charging charging. And will come upon us, pop, like that. That’s how it is on this bitch of an Earth.”
IBELIEVE THE BEST SCENE I’VE EVER DONE IN CONCERT WITH A DIRECTOR
......OPPOSITE JULIETTE LEWIS, ALSO WITH OLIVER STONE DIRECTING. AND NOW THE TORTURE SCENE IN “NARCO SUB,” SHAWN S. WELLING DIRECTOR.
SHAWN S. WELLING’S REPLY:
“TOM SIZEMORE MADE MY DAY BUDDY - WOW - THANK YOU. YOU WERE EXCEPTIONAL TO WORK WITH. I FELT AT MY BEST AND THANKS FOR OPENING UP TO THE TEAM OF WELLING FILMS AND MYSELF TO ALLOW US ALL TO BE OURSELVES. IT IS A SPECIAL MOMENT WHEN AN ACTOR OF YOUR RESUME MAKES THE TEAM FEEL EXCEPTIONALLY IMPORTANT AND HONORED IN THEIR WORK AFTER COMPLETING A SCENE. YOU MADE THE DAYS ABOUT THEM FIRST, THEN ABOUT YOU - THIS GAVE US THE BEST END RESULT. NO BITCHING OR WHINING, JUST A HARD TALENTED WORKER - THAT IS MY TOM.”
TOM SIZEMORE’S RESPONSE:
“WOW THANK YOU SHAWN. I’VE ALWAYS HAD A DEEP AFFECTION FOR FILM CREWS. I REMEMBER TELLING MY MOM AFTER I CO-STARRED IN “HEART AND SOULS,” THAT ‘CREWS MAKE MOVIES MOM. ACTORS WALK IN FROM OF CAMERAS.’ THIS MEANS A GREAT DEAL TO ME.”
